Clean Your Child’s Teeth at least Twice a Day

It is best to clean your child’s teeth just after breakfast and also prior to bedtime. Once your child turns three you can then start to use just a small or pea-sized amount of toothpaste containing fluoride. When your child is able to use such toothpaste, you need to teach him to spit out the excessive toothpaste, yet do not rinse with water. Just as your child becomes older, you need to let her use her own toothbrush. It is best to put the toothpaste on the brush till your child is about the age of six. Until your children reach the age of 7 or 8, you will need to help them brush their teeth. Feeding Your Baby Nutritious Food

It is important that parents choose drinks and also foods which do not contain a lot of sugar in them. Make sure that you give your children veggies and fruits, rather than cookies and candies. In case your baby cannot sleep without sucking from the bottle, make sure that you do not fill it with sweet liquid, just pure water will do! In fact this can prevent possible cavities and tooth decay. Formula, milk, sweet drinks, and juices all have sugar content in them. Without a doubt, sucking on a bottle which contains liquids which has sugar in them can trigger the growth of tooth decay. Right during the day, make sure that your baby does not have a bottle which is filled with liquids which have sugar in them. This is just as bad as the aforementioned since it can cause tooth decay. if your baby uses pacifier, be sure not to di it in anything which is sweet such as sugar or honey. Approaching his first birthday, you need to teach your child to drink form a glass or cup, rather than from a bottle.
